The 2012 Minor (1) division champions were the Riggers Hockey Academy who stood amongst the crowd, as they took down their competition in Banff. They defeated the Airdrie Stars by a score of 5-3 in the championship game, Emery Belcourt had two goals in the game, leading his team offensively and the Riggers got some great goaltending in the final as Joel de Vrij made 27 saves on 30 shots.
