In a highly entertaining 2010 Major division championship, the Spartan Academy took down the Bolts Hockey Academy by a final score of 5-4 which even saw a goalie goal when Joffrey Chan was the last Spartan Academy player to touch the puck before it dribbled down the ice into an empty net on a delayed penalty call. Chan was also outstanding in goal as he held his team in the lead late in the game as the Bolts started to turn on the offence, he ended up with 34 saves on 38 shots faced.
The Spartan Academy went through the weekend with an undefeated record of five (5) wins and zero (0) losses, they also had a +21-goal differential (31 GF - 10 GA). Led in scoring by Bennett Axelson (8 G, 3 A, 11 PTS) and Kaleb Skinner (4G, 7A, 11 PTS), the Spartan Academy also got terrific goaltending as Joffrey Chan had a .932 save percentage and 1.67 GAA.
Congratulations to all our teams on a great season!
