Warriors Hockey Academy (Sask) captured the 2015 Major B Championship with a 7-1 win over Stars Hockey Academy at East Calgary Twin Arena Blue.
Warriors came out strong in the first period, scoring two unanswered goals. Benjamin Miller opened the scoring at 4:31, followed by Kaleb Bodnar finding the back of the net at 1:44 on a feed from Meyer Rokosh to build an early 2-0 lead. The Warriors continued to roll in the second period, adding two more goals. Owen Blume scored at 14:02 on an assist from Bodnar, and Karter Paulgaard responded at 10:11 on a setup from Miller to push the advantage to 4-0. Stars got on the board with a power play goal from Mason Kluner at 8:40, assisted by Theoren (Theo) Shaw and Chase Beach, but the damage was already done.
The third period belonged to the Warriors, who scored three more times. Daxon Cummings found the back of the net at 14:05, followed by Owen Blume adding his second of the game at 8:24. River Andrews sealed the victory with a goal at 7:29 on an assist from Ryker Caffet. With multi-point performances from Miller (one goal, one assist), Bodnar (one goal, one assist), and Blume (two goals), along with key contributions from Rokosh, Paulgaard, Cummings, Caffet, and Andrews, Warriors Hockey Academy (Sask) were crowned 2015 Major B Division Champions at the HSL Championship.
